Groom’s Speech

Grooms Wedding Speech – Amazing Tips
It was the wedding of my brother and he assigned me to write a groom’s wedding speech. At first I did not know what to do or how to write any groom’s wedding speech because the last time I wrote was a term paper in high school. I searched around and asked around. I scoured the net for information on how to write a speech and I found some amazing tips.
I was just about to give up on my speech, but I thought that I don’t want to fail my brother. This is his first and last marriage and I want him to have the best groom wedding speech. Since I am not a professional writer, I needed some guide to help me write the speech. I found a lot of tips and tricks online, here’s what I learned that helped me write my brother’s wedding speech.
Preliminary
1. Write a first draft. The first draft is not the finished product. Just free write whatever thought you have and worry about grammar later.
2. Use simple words and write short sentences. This way you, your speech can be memorized easily. This is also important to help your audience understand your speech better.
3. Edit your drafts. This is very important because like I said, the first draft is not the finished product. If you are not confident enough of your grammar skills, then have someone edit your work.
Writing the speech
1. Choose a single speech and stick with it. You can write out several themes or thesis statements during the draft process, but the final product should only have a single cohesive theme that will glue your speech together.
2. Ask yourself what is it that you want to impart to your audience. Have a point to your speech. Make sure to end the speech with something humorous or inspirational to impart to your audience.
3. Know your audience. Since this is a wedding, you can expect people from every ages to attend the event. You need to use simple words and conversational, casual English that everyone can understand. It is also good to keep the speech clean and free from double meanings. Be as plain and succinct as you possibly can.
4. Show, don’t tell. Use strong words, metaphors, and colorful imagery to your speech. This will add a little pizazz to your speech, as well as making it easy for the audience to follow.
I hope that the tips above helped you write your speech. I followed the tips above an I made a great groom’s wedding speech for my brother. I was so proud of him as he delivered my speech. The audience was in awe and was left very inspired at the speech I wrote. If you need more help for tips and guides to wedding speech writing, just visit http://www.weddingspeechesforall.com

There’s the Groom, Best Man and Groom’s Man?
Does anyone know if there is such thing as a grooms man, i have tried google as im looking for speech ideas but nothing is coming up for groom’s man
Yes, the groomsmen (most common formation of the letters on the internet), are to the groom what bridesmaids are to the bride. The singular is most commonly “groomsman”, sans apostrophe and space between words. There is traditionally an equal number of groomsmen and bridesmaids, in addition to the best man and maid of honor.
In terms of speech ideas, most brides and grooms will count on their best man and bridesmaids, as well as key family and friends to make a speech. A speech from each of the bridesmaids and groomsmen is a nice touch, and generally expected. The bride and groom may want to ask each individual if they would like to make a speech beforehand so that they can better plan the timing of events (food service, drinks, music, etc.)
Speeches should touch on how the speech-maker knows the groom and bride, any fond moments/memories, well-wishes, but – by no means – anything embarrassing or cryptic. Groomsmen and bridesmaids can say anything they want to the bride and groom in private, but a speech is for everyone present. Generally under five minutes is a good length.
The bride and groom should reciprocate, and thank each of their bridesmaids and groomsmen individually for taking part in the wedding party.
Cheers
