How should your hair be when doin flat twist?
I am going to put flat twist in my hair 2marrow and im looking on the internet they are saying you should have your hair damp but when you hair is wet its at its weakest state and canrip out of your scalp easier and as hard as i twist it might so then i was looking at this video on you tube and she said she didnt do the when her hair was wet because you hair is at its weakest state which is the same thing im sayin so should u blow dry your hair let it air dry or twist it when wet?
I would let it air dry then twist it. That way you won't be damaging it as much by blow drying it and then twisting it. I have two strand twisted my hair while it was wet to achieve that wet n wavy look and it did not damage my hair. Everyone's hair is different so to be safe I would let it air dry.

Prevent Hair Split Ends
Hair split ends cannot be mended but surely it can be prevented with proper hair care regime. Split ends are common problems for hair are most often seen in long hair but are also found in shorter hair that is out of condition and is a trouble of anyone trying to grow their hair. Such hair splits extends into two or three strands, and can be as long as two to three centimeters in length. According to the trichologists such split ends occurs when the protective cuticle has been stripped away from the ends of hair fibers. So care should taken to preserve the cuticle as once they cannot be replaced.
The main cause for such misery to hair is due to, the natural oils from the scalp that fail to reach the ends, making the ends of the hair more vulnerable than the roots. And the other valid reasons for such misery to take place are when your hair have had a long exposure to the sun, gone through many shampoos and been overheated by hairdryers and straighteners, which results in dry and brittle ends which are prone to splitting. Split ends also occur due to coloring when done to excess. Even the use of poor quality brushes and combs can cause this hair problem.
Unlike earlier woman who used to burn off their split ends themselves, today snipping the ends with sharp scissors is employed. A small section of hair is taken and carefully twisted in a gentle downward motion. Then it is carefully snipped into the twist with sharp scissors. It is recommended not to cut right through but just cut into the thickness to remove the damaged cuticles and give a natural layered effect. Though there are other ways to get rid of split ends and that is avoid brushing hair when it is wet because wet hair is at its most vulnerable stage. Next, cut down the use of artificial methods of drying hair. It is also essential that you purchase a natural-bristle brush that will not pull on hair and break it off, thereby causing split ends. Minimize the overexposure of your hair to the sun radiation by wearing hats. Wearing hats are not only good for sunny days but also beneficial on winter days in keeping your hair well moisturized.
Besides all these precautions it is helpful if you use a shampoo that has a major sunscreen ingredient, deep conditioner once a month and a hair split repair products. Split ends generally develop in dry or brittle hair, which is typically caused due to excessive dying or vigorous brushing. Split ends seen in long hair is because the sebum produced in the scalp acts as a good moisturizer fails to reach the far end of the long hair. So to keep the hair in good condition it is essential to go for deep conditioning treatment every week if it is possible and especially if your hair is prone to splitting. Conditioning is mandatory every time whether you use chemical or not.
